An online writing workshop for self-care, community and connection
in the AWA Method
We’re living through what could be a disheartening time. Community and connection are some of the components of self-care that have been identified as being required to stay balanced and buoyant.
- Are you finding your days and weeks are missing the “bones” of your regular commitments and schedule?
- Are you missing authentic connection and community in this time of isolation?
- Are you longing for a practice that could support your resilience? Help you integrate your experience? Lift your spirits?
There was an overwhelming response to the first set of workshops in our ‘Voicing the Heart – writing for community, connection, and self-care’ series, and so Teegan is offering a part 2– another set of 4 wks.
In this workshop series we deepen our exploration into the ways in which we can nourish ourselves and the people in our lives. We will engage with the themes of presence, resilience, order/chaos and adversity as opportunity. We will continue to build on the strong foundation of community and connection we created with such openheartedness and loving intention in the first series.
Please Note: You do not have to have attended the first series to join us for this one. Nor do you have to consider yourself “a writer” to join this workshop. The AWA Method (the structure that supports these workshops) creates an environment of support and equality where it is safe for each participant to explore and experiment with their writing and their writing voice, whether they are just beginning their writing journey, taking it up again after many years away, or whether they are an established writer who needs time and focus to support new or ongoing projects. All genres celebrated: poetry, fiction, non-fiction, memoir, essay, plays and hybrid forms.
THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE PUT ON THE WAITLIST OR TO RECEIVE INFO ABOUT NEXT SESSION. THANKS!
